Jun 06, · I am a diehard Billy Joel fan -- well, at least a fan of his early works. I've purchased the Greatest Hits Vol 1 & 2 as cassettes and CDs multiple times. They were just so good and epitomized Joel at his best. This collection -- was a miss for me. I purchased it to have River of Life. I had hoped something else on the CD was good/5(94).
Greatest Hits, Volume III is a compilation of Billy Joel’s most notable work from – It includes songs from his previous studio albums: An Innocent Man, The Bridge, Storm Front, and River of Dreams. There is some chronological overlap with Volume II as two songs from The Innocent Man are included here as well.

The Greatest Hits Volume III album includes hits from to Three previously unreleased studio tracks are included, "To Make You Feel My Love", "Hey Girl", and "Light as the Breeze". All three tracks are newly recorded covers (a rare occurrence in his catalogue); Joel originally recorded the song "Light as the Breeze" for a Leonard Brand: Billy Joel.
